MARKO KROLO

DIRECTOR/ LICENSED ARCHITECT

Marko Krolo was born in Split in 1980, where he completed his education at the Mathematical Gymnasium. After graduating from high school, he enrolled in the study of architecture in Italy at the Università IUAV di Venezia / Facoltà di Architettura, where he graduated in 2006. He gained valuable work experience in large architectural offices in Zagreb, where he participated in projects that won several awards in architectural competitions. After becoming a licensed architect with the Croatian Chamber of Architects (HKA) in 2010, he received official approval from the Ministry of Culture and Media to develop projects for cultural heritage buildings.

In 2018, Marko Krolo founded his own architectural studio STUDIOLO, where he serves as director and chief architect. Thanks to his extensive experience and expertise, his international education brings a unique perspective to his work, enabling him to create innovative and visually striking projects.

Thanks to his knowledge of Italian and English, he has managed to establish successful cooperation with international companies seeking consulting and architectural services for their projects in Croatia. His language skills have enabled clear communication and understanding of project requirements, as well as building strong relationships with clients and partners from different cultural backgrounds. As a result, he has become a reliable partner to these companies and contributed to the successful implementation of their projects in Croatia.

FILIP MARINCEL

ARCHITECT

Filip Marincel was born in Rijeka in 1993 and was educated in Zagreb, where he completed general high school. He then enrolled at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Zagreb, where he successfully graduated in 2020.

During his studies, Filip joined the STUDIOLO studio, where he demonstrated exceptional attention to detail and precision in his work. Today, as a leading architect, he participates in all phases of projects – from idea to realization – and collaborates with all other professions involved in projects to meet investors’ high expectations.

Filip’s passion for architecture and dedication to detail are clearly visible in his work, making him an excellent architect. His ability to recognize and emphasize the importance of small details ensures the high quality of our projects. His perseverance in work and desire for continuous development make him a valuable member of the Studiolo team.

In his free time, Filip likes to ride his bike, go for long walks with his dog Bono, and especially enjoys sleeping, of which he says: “I just make up for all the sleepless nights spent drawing during my studies.” However, we all know that regular physical activity and enough sleep are key to maintaining productivity. Taking care of your physical health can improve concentration and creativity, which is then reflected in the quality of your work.

LEONARDA ŽABEK

ARCHITECT

Leonarda was born in Zagreb in 2000. She completed her high school education at the II. Gymnasium in Zagreb, and her college education at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Zagreb, where she graduated in 2026.

From an early age, Leonarda showed a strong interest in art and technical knowledge, which naturally directed her towards architecture — a field that perfectly combines both of her passions. She made the decision to study architecture guided by the desire to combine creativity and functionality, and she continues to be inspired by the impact that well-designed spaces can have on people’s lives.

Along with her work commitments, Leonarda has various hobbies, including sewing, cooking, and painting. These creative expressions (along with her curly hair) complement her architectural work, allowing her to continuously explore and develop her artistic skills. She finds inspiration in everyday life and often incorporates elements of her hobbies into her architectural concepts.

Leonarda’s motto: “Always do your best.”

GABRIEL NIKOLIĆ

ARHITEKT

Gabriel was born in Vinkovci in 2000. After completing general high school, he enrolled at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Zagreb, where he is currently pursuing a master’s degree in architecture and urban design.

Passionate about nature, people, history, and cultural heritage, he finds inspiration in literature, theatre, and wandering through the streets of Zagreb. And if you stop by Studiolo, you can be sure—Gabriel will take you on his signature tour through the city center, the very same one he leads for everyone. So there’s no need to come twice!

He used to be the president of the student council and a true advocate for student rights, so when it comes to representing investors’ interests before public institutions, he knows how things work. And trust us, he will get things done like a true professional.
