Marko Krolo
Director / Licensed Architect
Marko Krolo was born in Split in 1980, where he completed his education at a Mathematical
High School. After graduation, he enrolled in architecture studies in Italy at the Università IUAV di
Venezia / Facoltà di Architettura and received his degree in 2006. He gained valuable work experience
in large architectural firms in Zagreb, where he collaborated on projects that won several awards in
architectural competitions. After becoming a licensed architect in 2010 by the Croatian Chamber of
Architects / HKA, he also obtained official authorization from the Ministry of Culture and Media to
develop projects on cultural heritage sites.
In 2018, Marko Krolo founded his own architectural studio, STUDIOLO, where he holds the positions of
both director and head architect. With his extensive experience and expertise, Marko’s international
background adds a unique perspective to his work, allowing him to create innovative and visually
stunning designs.
Thanks to his fluency in both Italian and English, he was able to establish successful collaborations with
international companies seeking consultant and architect services for their construction projects in
Croatia. His language skills not only allowed for clear communication and understanding of project
requirements, but also enabled him to build strong relationships with clients and partners from diverse
cultural backgrounds. As a result, he became a trusted partner for these companies and contributed to
the successful completion of their projects in Croatia.

FILIP MARINCEL
Senior Architect
Filip Marincel was born in Rijeka in 1993 and went to school in Zagreb where he completed his General
High School education. Following that, he enrolled in the Faculty of Architecture / Arhitektonski fakultet
Sveučilišta u Zagrebu where he successfully graduated in 2020.
During his student years, Filip joined the STUDIOLO where he demonstrated exceptional attention to
detail and precision in his work. Today, as a leader architect, he participates in the creation of all project
phases from ideation to realization and cooperates with all other professions involved in the projects, in
order to fulfill the high expectations of our investors.
Filip's passion for architecture and dedication to details is evident in his work, making him an excellent
architect. His ability to recognize and emphasize the importance of small details ensures that our
projects have high quality. Filip's determination in his work and desire to continuously develop make
him a valuable member of Studiolo team.
In his free time Filip loves to cycle, go for a long walk with his dog Bono and especially to sleep for what
he says: “I’m simply making it up for all lost nights spent drawing during my education.” But we all know
that a good exercise and getting enough sleep are crucial for maintaining productivity. Taking care of
your physical health can help improve focus and creativity which can translate into better work
performance.

LEONARDA ŽABEK
Architect Designer
Leonarda was born in Zagreb in 2000. She attended the Second Gymnasium in Zagreb for her secondary education and is currently in the master’s program at the Zagreb Faculty of Architecture / Arhitektonski fakultet Sveučilišta u Zagrebu.
From an early age, Leonarda showed a strong interest in both arts and technical knowledge, which naturally led her to pursue a career in architecture — a field that perfectly combines both of her passions. Her decision to study architecture was driven by a desire to merge creativity with functionality, and she continues to be inspired by the impact well-designed spaces can have on people's lives.
Apart from her academic pursuits, Leonarda has a variety of hobbies, including sewing, cooking and painting. These creative outlets (along with her curly hair) complement her architectural studies, allowing her to continually explore and refine her artistic skills. She finds inspiration in everyday life and often incorporates elements from her hobbies into her architectural concepts.

GABRIEL NIKOLIĆ
Architect Designer
Gabriel was born in Vinkovci in 2000. After graduating from General High School, he enrolled at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Zagreb / Arhitektonski fakultet Sveučilišta u Zagrebu, where he is currently pursuing a master’s degree in architecture and urban planning.
Passionate about nature, people, history, and cultural heritage, he finds inspiration in literature, theater, and wandering the streets of Zagreb. And if you come to visit Studiolo, rest assured—Gabriel will take you on his signature tour of the city center, the exact same one he gives to everyone. So no need to come twice!
Back in the day, he was president of the student council and the ultimate champion of student rights, so when it comes to handling investors' interests with public institutions, he knows the game—and trust us, he’ll get things pushed through like a pro.
